Looking for a great book with romance and suspense? I have been reading many books available in the book market and highly recommend The Time Traveler's Wife.

Why do I love The Time Traveler's Wife? The writing is superb and the story is unique and exciting.

This book is a heart wrenching tale of love, longing and loss. Though Henry is the tragic hero displaced in time, the heart of this story is Clare, the woman who loves him and gives his existence some semblance of normalcy. Her love and longing for Henry is what gives her life meaning, yet it is also her tragedy. Her existence is, in effect, more displaced than Henry. Wherein he has the ability to relive moments with her, she is unable to control her own fate. Her life is lived in suspended moments, forever waiting and wanting. The ending will leave you with a heavy heart, unable to forget Clare's endurance and loss.

I am extremely impressed with the writing style of author and wholeheartedly recommend this book. Niffeneger writes with uncomplicated ease, injecting realism in her characters, in an otherwise supernatural tale.

The book has recently been made into a major motion picture starring Rachel MacAdams and Eric Bana. While the movie is watchable and entertaining, the movie opted for a fairytale ending. In doing this, it fails to capture Clare's heartbreak.

My recommendation is to skip the movie and opt for the book.
